Cara Johnson started writing as soon as she could hold a pencil in her
hand and she hasn’t stopped since. She won awards in high school, wrote
for the school paper, and then chose Journalism as her major in college.
During college she had a number of dreams that would eventually become
The Dream Travelers series. She has written for magazines, newspapers,
live events, award shows and web sites, but nothing prepared her for The
Dream Travelers series.
"These stories are compilations of dreams, fantasy and truth," she says.
"They are aimed at teaching children to connect to their own dreams.
Born and raised in Arizona, Cara Johnson got restless after graduating
college and after a small stint in Paris and then in Southern
California, Ms Johnson settled in San Francisco.

After seven amazing years her restlessness returned and she found her
way to Cusco, Peru where she continued writing and eventually opened a
restaurant with two friends. Two years later, she was married and
pregnant and with a completed manuscript in hand, she moved back to U.S.
and put roots down in Southern California. She currently resides in
Aliso Viejo. Now her daughter is almost two, she is divorced and her
book was just published. If she had to sum up her life, she would use
one word: change. Interestingly enough, it is a central theme in the
series.
